Knowledge Builder Suite

As part of the KBSuite, CRG Medical’s patient safety knowledge building platform, KBCore, allows healthcare workers to electronically capture and record their process, but more importantly – the reason behind their actions.  

With KBCore knowledge is shared from the point-of- care between departments, institutions and care settings leading to cost saving performance improvement and safer patient outcomes.

The Patient Safety Knowledge Builder Suite (KBSuite) is comprised of independently installable modules designed to offer an environment where new business patient safety capabiities can be incorporated easily while also accommodating integration with healthcare legacy systems. This supports an evolutionary implementation, thus reducing the risks in new development and integration projects.

The KBSuite consists of functional process improvement subsystems that cover all the major functions of a healthcare system from recording adverse events through monitoring patient safety processes and generating reports for performance improvement. The subsystems address specific performance improvement functionality and also implement the interoperability between the institutions silos, different departments, units, and teams.

The modular components provide just-in-time information to the different organizational levels of the hospital, integration with external services or information providers and networks, audit-trace and log information, follow up workflow, historical information, and access-control that may be specified by user, function, and/or profile.

The Patient Safety Knowledge Builder Suite is designed to be scalable and provide problem solving capabilities at the point of health care service from the smallest component in the health care system. These issues are communicated to management in close to real time. This platform comprises of stackable modules serving needs relevant to each specific health care institution. 

These subsystems support the four levels of need ranging from clinics and Critical Access Hospitals to Rural Community Hospitals, Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Long Term Care Facilities and Tertiary Care Hospital systems.
